Others we have loved

In 2006 I had the first Chinese Crested puppy in my home for several months (his owner lived with us at the time) and I was hooked. I’d enjoyed the breed from afar but after IggyPop I knew I would eventually add this little comical breed to my home and life and in 2008 I did just that!

Possum (affectionally titled “Lil’ Queenie”) came to live with me and she was a total joy! Crested girls are just simply FUN! She was so fun to show and she did gain a few points while she was here. Later she went back to her breeder/coowner’s but while she was here she had one litter which included her son “Biggie Smalls”.

Biggie lived up to his name in attitude! He’s living the retirement life in Florida.

UCh SaeSi Notorious B.I.G., “Biggie Smalls” finished his UKC Championship over Champions/Grand Champions at 6 mths and 3 days of age, he also was AKC pointed. I retired him later as he was having not as much fun at the shows, I chose to placed him in a wonderful companion home with a wonderful owner and he’s living life large with her.

2010 I was blessed with a lovely little powderpuff lass, UCh Lesmars All Inked Up 4 SaeSi “Shanaynay”. She was the resident puppy Nanny and she took her role very seriously. She loved helping to raise the whippet pups here and teaching them the ropes! Those who knew her love her. She was an amazing girl who wrapped her little furry paws around my very soul. She was also a very keen little lass, living up to her heritage of being a vermin dog, she treed more than her share of squirrels and also gave the lure a run for its money on the track (for fun, that was before the non sighthound coursing events). She made sure every day was filled with fun and love. Unfortunately I lost her at 9 1/2 years of age due to CRF and her passing broke many hearts. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss this genuinely angelic soul.  Photos on white background by d Beisinger.
